For those who worry about my leaving potentially serious problems unchecked, be of good cheer: I've been in touch with my doctor. He agrees with my assessment, which is that while I have yucky symptoms, I am not anywhere close to needing medical intervention. We agreed on what symptoms would constitute good reason to call and come in, and in the meantime, well, it's time and fluids.
