ceri | Disengagement, the sequel

I don't seem to be able to convince a lot of my friends and acquaintances to respect any thresholds when it comes to political commentary. There appears to be nothing I can do to get it through their heads that I mean exactly what I say when I say things like "Please don't hand me anything about American politics unless I specifically say 'yeah, this is a good time for it'. I'm grieving and depressed and stressed about my career and in profound fear on various fronts and I need not to have it dumped on me again and again." I'm angry in a very frustrated way about it, and getting more serious about cutting people off. My circle of contacts is narrowing, and I regret that, but I don't at all regret doing what I have to do to get the clear head I need to deal with my own life right now.
