Oh, I love the lighting in those pictures! Particularly the second one, where the effect of the lighting with the paint is just wonderful.

These late-afternoon walks are very good for photo opportunities, I'm finding. Early morning ones, too, and I need to get in the habit as it warms up.

Oh, yeah. I usually can't manage early morning, but I got some fantastic pictures the week I was getting up at 5am to adjust my schedule for a conference in New Jersey. But I do a lot of late-afternoon photography when I'm on vacation.

I never realized before I started taking pictures just how much of a difference the type of light makes, but it's just huge.

Likewise with the realizations. It'll be interesting to see how much we become aware of the effects of seasonal changes, too.

Niiiiiiiiiice. And yes, morning and evening both give some pretty spectacular light. I found that out in a class where we photographed saguaros.

Saguaros are arguments that there is a Creator and that She's having way too much fun with raw materials to bother with plausibility. :)

I love saguaros, and a lot of other Sonoran flora. I'm just saying they totally tip the hand behind evolution. :)
