In the '70s, there was a strand of rock music that involved spinning pretty elaborate tales with fantasy and sci-fi elements through relatively complex musical evolution. A lot of it wasn't nearly as good as its ambitions, but still, some very interesting work got done, a lot of it now not remembered much at all. Klaatu is one of the bands of that time.
