Praise we now our friends

I had a truly wonderful day yesterday, and I owe it entirely to good friends. They gave me a lift from Seattle down to Portland to spend the afternoon with Mom, and it was a great time, letting us catch up on our news and just spending time together. I've so much missed seeing her, and she me...and she also loves my friends, who've become just about as close to her as her own children. I've really missed Mom this year, and she's missed me, and this did us all a lot of good.

I am now exhausted but delighted. Anyone else out there have tales of friendship in action you'd like to share? I'm in a mood to celebrate others' good fortune too.
