And now, business as usual, so sorry
Jul. 31st, 2009 07:39 amMy day off did me quite a bit of good. I feel refreshed on several fronts, and survived what's supposed to be the worst of our heat wave. Looks like the weekend will be thoroughly unpleasant rather than horrifically awful, and gentler than that during the week to come.
And since I have some fresh deposits in the bank, I picked up season passes from the iTunes store: Leverage season 2 (no more episode-by-episode torrent snagging for me), and, since everyone who recommended Leverage tells me I'll like this too, Burn Notice season 1. That will take care of my video action for a while.
Reviews will be forthcoming over the weekend of some of my recent reading, with an emphasis on what I found worthwhile. Slagging isn't something I get a lot of fun doing unless I have some point I really want to make very strongly. I'd rather focus on what satisfied me, and why.
I have done better than I expected to as far as health goes these last few days. My carb count is high, thanks to having some good citrus juice of some sort each day in the heat, but it's only gone from a goal of 180 g/day up to about 195 max. Blood sugar's been very good overall, too, with just a couple readings past the high end of acceptable for their circumstances. Weight Watchers points have been right on, and my weight's been holding steady with relatively small fluctuations. Lots to be grateful for here.
